Welli Hilli Park Skiing & Snowboarding Trip

Welli Hilli Park was designed by Paul Matthews of ECOSIGN of Canada, who is the world’s biggest name in ski course design, and was accredited by the International Ski Federation in terms of its scale and safety as a ski resort of international specifications. All slopes are opened to snowboards and it has a large-scale half-pipe for snowboarders. It was the first in Asia to host the Snowboard World Championships in 2009 and thus was recognized as the Mecca of snowboarding. Courses are well-divided from beginner to advanced levels and have 19 slopes. The total length of slopes is 12.3km.

Restaurants: Korean restaurant, family restaurant, cafeteria, lobby lounge, snack bar, etc.

Recreational facilities: discotheque, bar, PC room, games arcade, karaoke room, etc.

Convenience facilities: souvenir shop, photo shop, child care center, skin care center, supermarket, etc.

Itinerary

0500 -Show-Time at Outdoor Recreation, Bldg 1304 to sign Hold Harmless Waiver

0530 -Depart Outdoor Recreation

~0700 -Stop at Rest Area for 30 minutes

~0830 -Arrive at Hyundai Sung woo Resort (get your gear on and be ready to go)

~0900 -Distribute Lift Tickets (good for all lifts and gondola)

0900-1600 -Free time for Skiing and Snowboarding (buses will remain in bus parking lot)

1200-1300 -Bus will be open for lunch

1600-1630 -Load equipment back on the bus and prepare for departure back to Base

1630 –Depart Hyundai Sung woo Resort back to Base (buses will leave with or without you, DON’T BE LATE)

~1800 -Stop at Rest Area for 30 minutes

~1900 -Arrive back at Outdoor Recreation

Very Important Things You Must Know

  • The tour bus leaves in front of Outdoor Recreation, building 1304. Please be there 15-20 minutes prior to departure time.
  • Need to Bring: Ski or Snowboard equipment, Hat and sunglasses or goggles, Wind/waterproof jacket and pants, Warm clothes, Gloves, Sunscreen, Snack/Lunch or you can buy lunch there (meal prices range from W7,500 –W15,000), Won for meals or snacks at the Rest Area (ATM accept only Korean card), Camera and Change of clothes.
  • Dangers: Icy and bare spots, Cold Weather, Possibly Snowing, Steep drop-offs, Fencing along ski courses, Possible injury, seriously hurt, or death may occur, Out of control skiers/snowboarders
