Retail Counter Service-Shipping Method
APO- APO (Oversea Bases- APO/FPO/DPO)
- Use our computer at the Post Office to fill out the customs form online through AMPS.
- APO-APO Shipping is Free, except for PCS-ing must paid for shipping fee
- APO-FPO Shipping is Free
- APO-DPO Requires Postage
- Stateside/Domestic/US Territory: Use paper custom PS Form 2976-R Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note) forms at the Post Office. They are located in the shipping counters
- Pre-paid Postage online Guidance and Links (Shipping Domestic and International) useĀ āClick and Shipā to create an account and create pre-paid postage. Highly recommended for our customers, you can just drop off at the register. You donāt need to write a paper custom form.

- Perfume is prohibited to all international and APO/FPO/DPO destination
- Exceptional: Is permitted via domestic surface transportation is limited to 16 oz per glass or per container. Must go Ground Mail and pack on its own box, other items are not allowed to be in the perfume packages.

- Set Up a P.O Box policy
- Once members arrive, they need to bring a copy of their orders to the customer service window to get their combination code for their P.O box.
- The sponsor can open P.O box for inbound members 45 days prior to arrival date. No sooner than 45 days.
- Hoe to open a P.O Box? Bring a copy of your orders, DoD ID, and provide your personal email address (highly recommended so we can send an email when packages have arrived at the Post Office for pick-up)
*Only Command Sponsored dependents are authorized mail privileges*
- Extend P.O Box: Requires a 30 day or 2 week notice and provide extension paperwork for qualification. (Orders and Surf are required for more than a 1-month extension)
- Out Processing: Must be completed within 30 days or 2 weeks of final out date.
- Hold Mail – Leave, TDY, Emergency Leave for over 1 week
- To prevent your mail from being returned to the sender after 15 days of not picking up. Please scan the barcode below to put your mail on hold.

Postal notification could be about your package arrival/delivery and/or simply informational. Stop by our Customer Service window from Monday-Friday between 1000 AM ā 1600 PM OR email us at 51FSS.FSVP.OsanPostOffice@us.af.mil to make changes to your profile. Do Not Block the AMPS email or you will not receive any notification.
- Be aware of 15 days mail pick- up policy. After final noticed you will have 5 days to pick-up your mail. If not, is will be return back to sender. To ensure mail is not being RTS, filled out Mail Hold form online or stop by customers service window to put your mail on hold.
MAIL PICK-UP AUTHORATION
- Unable to Pick-Up your mail from the Post office customers can designate trusted agents to pick up their mail by sending an email to 51FSS.FSVP.OSANPOSTOFFICE@us.af.mil with the following information: Customerās name, Customerās PSC Box Number, Authorized Agentās Name, and the date range the Authorized Agent will be allowed to pick up mail on behalf of the customer (no more than 30 days).

- After the customer sends the email, the Authorized Agent can report to the Post Office Customer Service window to finalize the process and pick up mail on the customerās behalf

Claim your mail within five days of notice. Final notice comes five days after initial notice. After 10 days, units are contacted to verify status. If local, you have 24 hours to pick-up before item is returned to sender.
If you are TDY, on leave, or need mail held for another reason, please fill out DD Form-2258.

Stop by our Customer Service window from Monday-Friday between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM OR email us at 51FSS.FSVP.OsanPostOffice@us.af.mil with your Name, Box number, dates you want your mail to be held.
